Need some info :)

I plan on attending Rutgers Fall 2006...can anyone tell me how their freshmen year was? (social life, classes, housing. and such) I can use all the info i can get.

Hey--

I'm just finishing my freshman year (eek, finals coming up..) so I can probably answer your Q pretty well. I think that overall my year has been really great... college is awesome, youll see :)

Anyway, here are some tips that may sound somewhat trite, but they're useful anyway:

Be really social in the beginning. It may seem like everyone's made great friends already, but everyone's in the same position as you are. It's never too late.

Go to your professor's office hours. Get to know your professors... it can only help and it's not a big deal to go talk to them. Don't be intimidated.

Get involved. Don't be a bum and just drink all the time. If you can't find an organization here that interests you, you're probably either really boring or really eccentric hah. You can always make your own club.

Be Proactiveeee!!!! Really important at Rutgers. If you need help or have a question, email a dean or talk to a professor. No one will help you here unless you ask them..... but if you ask them they'll be really helpful. So ask!

Remember to have fun... college shouldn't only be about the work. Don't work on weekend (or weekday for that matter if you're taking easy classes lol) nights unless you havvvveee to. Chillax.

Mmm that's a pretty good rundown. If you have any questions ask away.
