Need some insight on my major

I am currently enrolled in BS in Engineering Management and thought about pursuing a second degree in Electronics Engineering Technology. Do you think this is a good idea or should I pursue the EET degree and worry about the EM degree at the graduate level? I would not mind working as a project manager until I gain more experience.

Management positions are not something gained through an education, especially in engineering. I would work on the EET then look towards a masters in eng or business management while you gain the experience to be able to manage others.

If I could get bothe degrees with no extra cost time, do you think I should?

^But there still are tradeoffs. You’d have to take extra classes to get an extra major, right?

There is only an 8 class difference between them, which I would mainly have to take 8 EE or CE classes. The EM degree allows you to focus on computer eng., business, or electronics eng. for the electives. I was going to go the electronics route in order to cut down the ammount of extra classes I would have to take. I think when it is said and done I would only have an extra 6-8 months of school. That means I would have completed both degrees in 3 years.

Both would be fine.

I went on and changed my major to the EET program. If I want to I might do the Eng. Mgt. or just get an MBA. I figured the EET degree would be more marketable.

Thank You for your help.
