Need some school recommendations

I'm looking for schools that are either not too expensive or that would at least cover a % of the tuition. Large, large small doesn't matter. Not looking for liberal arts schools. I'm thinking schools that offer some scholarships for either science or engineering. I like to procrastinate so I'm not looking for anything too hard - something a bit more laid back but where you still learn. I live in Chicago.

GPA: unweighed: 3.5, weighed: 4.3
Act: 26
Rank: 60/860

Awards: Scholar at my school
Ap Scholar

I don't have EC so that might put me out of the more competitive schools.

What do you guys suggest?

Oregon State Universitry
Cal-States
possibly University of Washington OOS if you improve
RIT
WIT

i would first obviously point out illinois in urbana champaign. great school, great engineering program, in state. and there is wisconsin and minnesota (very equally strengthed engineering programs). these schools are all pretty intense engineering schools though and it may not be the relaxed program you are looking for. im not sure how intensive michigan state is but i believe you would get like a $4,000 renewable scholarship (but out of state) and then iowa state...great engineering program and i highly doubt its very intense cuz everyone can get into that school and engineering school is the biggest in the university.
