<p>I'm currently a high school senior, and I'm looking at different colleges (duh!). </p>

<p>Captain of Debate Team (Have won many debate competitions.)
Soccer TEam
Stage Band
President of Interact (cOmmunity service club)
Consul of Latin Club
Editor and Chief of School Newspaper</p>
<p>I did pretty crumby (what a phony word) in freshman and sophmore but did really well in jr year. I went to india got inspired and worked really hard. WHat i would like to know is how are my chances at some different colleges. My perspective colleges are:</p>
<p>Phenomenal test scores you have there, but your GPA works against you a bit at many of these schools. Fortunately, you took tough courses and your debate skill and being president of some clubs helps out.</p>
<p>That's an unweighed GPA, and the colleges would realize the effect on honors and AP classes - relative to other classmates - so its not necessarily a problem</p>
<p>Geographic factors would matter - if he's applying from northeast USA, odds drop a bit, however it would seem he's competitive at all of them - although with Amherst, Williams, Swarthmore, and Columbia - they are very difficult to gain admissions - no matter how high the scores are.</p>
