Need someone to Read my College Appeal Letter

i applied to CSULB and thats the school i want to get into. they denied me saying my GPA and ACT score didn't match well.
I score a 19 on the ACT my GPA at the end of my junior year is 2.51
To meet the minimum to get it for my case is: a 20 on the ACT if i have a 2.51 gpa
CSULB Enrollment Services
as you can see i missed it by 1 point on the ACT

but now i have improved grade with 3 A's and 1 C that should boost my gpa up.

so i decided to appeal but CSULB appeal is REALLY REALLY LOW due to them being the university of choice some **** like that and they get a lot of applicants but i really want to go there so i appealed.

i need some 1 very good with the appeal process and good at writing appeal letters.
i will p.m you my letter so that you can please give me feedbacks or edit my BAD grammar .

please and thank you

Oh come on...

that chart shows the minimum test score required for each GPA in order to even be "considered" for admission. Not acceptance.

You didn't meet the requirements to even turn the application in. I'm not sure if an appeal will do enough wonders for them to actually receive your application late and then accept you over the heads of thousands rejected with better stats.

im pretty sure i meet the requirement now since i called them and told them i have approved grade. Then they told to try to appeal but its a very low chance.

The above link is to the common data regarding the incoming freshman profile for 2007. The average gpa for incoming freshman last year was 3.3.

dont know how my friend got in with a 2.83 gpa and a 13 on the ACT

"Your high school GPA is based upon all approved college preparatory courses completed after grade 9 and prior to high school graduation."

This means that your high school gpa gets re-evaluated by the admission's office. They take out classes like phys. ed., health, art, and electives. They then work up a new gpa that includes the core college prep classes like math, science, english, history, and foreign language. In other words, you have to have a strong core gpa without the help of phys. ed. and electives to bring up the gpa.

good point nysmile because my gpa with everything in it is 2.38. My G.P.A with only approved college prep class is 2.51. and now with fall senior grade of 3 A's and 1 C on my college prep class that should raise that 2.51 up and i plan for a repeat performance for my spring semester.

It's a long shot but you could try. Make the letter very short. Mention your upward trend and why you feel that you can succeed at the college. Ask you GC for help.

According to the chart that you posted, your friend's gpa of 2.83 and ACT of 13 does meet their minimum requirements to be considered for acceptance.

i know i was just using that as an example since you said the average gpa was 3.3
ahh crap my appeal letter is 1 page and a half.

you want to read it?

how did you get a 19 on the ACT? I thought it was it alright, I got a 24 on my first try.

^ you're asking a person who has a GPA<3.0 ...
I'm just suggesting you use a bit of understanding/commonsense

PM.. I will look at it. But you do realize it is a long shot, yes?

i know its a long shot but i still want to try
Cal state Fullerton already accepted me so i have my back up already
**** why do so many people want to go Long Beach State

any one else want to read it?
