Our foreign diplomat daughter is coming to the States for R&R and we’ll be driving her down to Panama City to see a friend from April 2-6, then driving her back to Atlanta. My wife and I will stay somewhere on the FL panhandle, and hope to enjoy some scenery and golf while our daughter visits. We’ve never been to that part of Florida - where would you recommend that we stay and what might be some recommended golf courses?

Thanks! I graduated from Wake in 1976 - the Curtis Strange and Jay Haas era. In 1974, Curtis came to the last hole of the NCAA Championship with the Deacs down one shot. His second shot on the par 5 was a 1-iron to within three feet, which he sank for the title.
That’s awesome. I remember the year I graduated HS Curtis was the first person with win 1M in a season. Now it’s a second place finish at one event. Looking forward to checking out the golf facility and maybe watching the team play when my daughter starts this Fall.
My favorite place in the Panhandle is Rosemary Beach - there are some really great houses to rent. Really great beaches - nice - clean better than anywhere closer to Panama City. Bubba Watson’s hometown is just west of there. I like Rosemary Beach better than Destin. Really family community vibe there. However, you state that you might be there during the BIZZZIEST time of year (Easter week)!
