I have SAT II scores for decemeber pending, and ACT w/writing Dec. standby.

My understanding for their site is that you can only request one score sitting sent at a time.

I figure at least one of my scores from the new act sitting will improve, and even if they are all worse, they will see my old ACT scores I post, and can get both reports. I don't want my new ACT score to be better and wait to receive the score, have them send it then, and have it show up later and past the deadline.

So, should I just request for ACT to send my old test out to all the schools I'm applying to, and have them send the new one I took standby to all the schools too?

The ACT and SAT are administered by two different companies with differing sets of rules.

ACT - (You must be taking the ACT late because of the rescheduling due to bad weather.) For the ACT, you can choose which set to send, but you cannot mix and match scores. Did you send any earlier scores as your "free" submissions? The problem is that the Admissions officer may assume that those are the final scores. Write "taken Dec. 17" on your applications. After you see the December results, you can choose whether to send those or the earlier ones. However, I wouldn't worry that your December scores will be lower. The odds are that they will be similar or higher than your previous tests.

SAT - All SAT I and SAT II results are sent to the college as of the request date. The school's policy determines whether it will take your highest scores or only the scores from one sitting.
