<p>So far I've seen a lot of 2000+ SAT scores in college confidential, it looks like that I'm one of the rare who has score a 1420 (first time taking it)

<p>What should I do to improve this score?</p>

<p>Okay, first off don’t be discouraged. Remove that thought out of your mind. Secondly, I think the best way to prepare for the SAT is to get the Official SAT guide by CB and go through all the 8 practice tests- do some untimed and some others timed. Go through your wrong and right answers and see why you missed a problem. Also, you can get various other books for improvement (mostly for strategy and review). One example would be Grubers for math and there are many other books. </p>
<p>For colleges: go do a search on collegeboard.com for what college you might be interested in attending. </p>
<p>btw: I didn’t really do that great either on the SAT’s (I got a 1770) which I need to improve fast :</p>
<p>Algorithm for score improvement: </p>

<li>Stop reading CC </li>
<li>Buy Official SAT Study Guide</li>
<li>Do every question in the book under timed conditions (whether you do individual sections or whole tests is up to you – I reccomend you do both)</li>
<li>Understand every question and make sure if you retook these exams, you would be able to do each question correctly. </li>
<li>Retake exam</li>
<li>Get high score.</li>
