thanks in advance

I suggest getting a private tutor because going from a 1200-2000+ is going to take a lot of effort and discipline. I suggest getting the collegeboard official SAT study guide. Also, i suggest trying to remember word roots and prefixes because the vocabulary quetions can really bring your points up. Also, just KEEP TAKING PRACTICE TESTS, and REVIEW THE WRONG ANSWERS. i got a 1660-2400, from studying over the summer, so I am not sure if you’ll be able to get your desired score. I worked REALLY HARD for it (only 5 hours of sleep a day)

GOOD LUCK!

My first question is, how did you not realize you needed to study until after your SIXTH try?
Oh, and it’s “a lot” not “alot.” That should give you a few points on the writing section.

Like imagine18 said, get a tutor or put some serious effort into raising your score on your own.

I’m sorry but you took it 6 times without practicing? That is just throwing money way. Your SAT isn’t just going to magically raise itself.

Now my tip is to just get the official sat book (blue book) and do all the practice tests. Try really hard to understand the all questions you got wrong, and if you still can’t seem to figure it out, then google it. If you can’t find the answer then, then move on. Times-a-wastin’ if your highest is 1220 on your 6th try.

If you just do nothing but hardcore studying, you can probably raise to 1700ish.

Seems to me, taking the test six times IS “practicing.”

^lol, true.

I actually don’t think it’s possible to take it six times without studying… conundrum…

i want to thank qweasd and imagine18 because they gave me a little hope that it can really be improved what happened with me is when i ask anyone about studying from the bb they said it is useless i already bought the bb and start studying owelhn i want to tell u that “a lot” will improve my score  thanks to all of you for giving me little hope

I realize it is very late in the game to bring this up but have you looked at the ACT at all? Some people do better in one test over the other. Of course you should also check if the colleges you are applying to will accept the ACT but most colleges do. Good luck.

as I’m studying trying to go from about 170 PSAT to 2100+ I notice that you must not just take Blue Book tests, but you have to take them, then spend serious time reviewing all your mistakes and making sure you don’t do it again. Focus less on silly mistakes but on any missing math/grammar concepts.

Remember don’t over study. And don’t hope, KNOW that you will improve and get in 2000 range. Believe in yourself, as people also believe in you. You can achieve ANYTHING if you put your mind in to it.

That’s what i live by and experience. Hope this motivational words help!

GOOD LUCK AGAIN :D

I agree that a tutor would be the best answer now. It’s easy to tell you what you did wrong, but let’s focus on the positive and look ahead. GEt a tutor! best of luck to you :)

thanks everyone for every advice and i want 2 tell that i already got a tutor and got the blue book and did the first test and i found that the worst part is the passage question and identifying errors and im starting to focus on them
