Need USC Housing? READ THIS BEFORE YOU APPLY FOR THE WAIT LIST

Hey all,

I'm a USC student who needs to give my spot in housing away to someone who has not yet applied for USC housing for the 2008-09 academic year, a perfect opportunity for a transfer student or late admission. This can give you a MUCH better spot than applying for the wait list as you can come and choose any spot available now as opposed to choosing between very few available spots in august. Pretty much the way it works is you come in with me to the housing office, you choose a spot and I transfer my contract. The only catch is that I can only do this for someone who HAS NOT APPLIED FOR USC HOUSING WAITLIST yet as they will not let me transfer my spot to someone else they have under contract. This can save you a lot of stress in August and all it takes is one visit to campus before you apply for the waitlist. If you're interested, please let me know ASAP so you can be sure to pick up the best spot available. By the time they would process you through their waitlist those spots will be gone. You can contact me at embertiger@gmail.com for more info.

Thanks,

Wait... there's already a waitlist? So spring admits basically don't have a chance this year?

Spring admits don't need to worry about housing yet- a lot of spaces will open up from people moving into sorority or frat houses, and also lots of people study abroad spring semester, opening up places.

There is no housing waitlist. Right now everyone applying is getting in. Spring shouldn't be a probelme either.

I think the waiting list is only for Juniors and seniors

Does anybody know if you can (or should) apply for housing before you even get your acceptance letter ?... I'm a prospective junior at SC and the Housing issue worries me a lot, since I live pretty far away from campus...
