Need Your Opinion about My Topic

<p>Hey guys,</p>

<p>I'm an intl student and currently trying to complete my common app. I'm considering to choose the first topic, "Some students have a background or story that is so central to their identity that they believe their application would be incomplete without it. If this sounds like you, then please share your story."</p>

<p>Do you think it'll be out of topic if I write about my novel which was recently published? I mean, it's quite an accomplishment for me as a high school graduate. And I would like the admission people to know that. Do you think by writing this, I would look like I'm bragging? Or do you think I should write about this in the additional information section?</p>

<p>It depends on how you choose to go about it. If you can say how completing this novel has made you a better person and why in the form of a well-written essay, then by all means do it. If you can’t, to additional information it goes.</p>
