<p>I was offered 25% off the cost of an MBA program in the form of merit-based scholarship. I was hoping for 50%-75% off. Does anyone know if you can negotiate these things? If so, does anyone have any experience doing so? I figured they can't blame you for it...after all...this is business school.</p>

<p>I think you need to take a class in negotiations (just kidding).</p>
<p>You can always negotiate, but whether you are successful is the question. You don't have a very strong negotiating hand. They expect a certain number of kids not to enroll, so you would just be one more. MBA programs are not known for giving good aid. If you needed aid, you would have been better off applying for a Masters program in Finance (or some other academic related field).</p>
<p>I did take a class in negotiations...and we've all read "getting to yes" by those Harvard guys.</p>
<p>I think if you are overqualified and they want to improve their stats they will negotiate. I'll let you know how it goes...</p>
