<p>In philosophy class over the summer, we read a letter that a girl who was denied admission to Columbia wrote. It went something to the tune of:</p>
<p>Dear Admissions of Columbia University,</p>
<p>I regret to inform you that I am rejecting your rejection of me. I have invested a lot of time and thought into my decision to attend Columbia, and I intend to matriculate at your campus. I am sorry if this will cause any complications, but I look forward to starting with you in New York in the fall!</p>
<p>I thought that was funny.</p>

<p>haha its so horrible to think that most people get rejected because then it's like "what makes me better than all of them?" and the answer, at least in my case, is NOTHING</p>

<p>kenya's awesome... I took a 2 week safari there- it was sick. The shots are a pain in theass though- make your whole arm swell like a balloon</p>

<p>my school really pushes us to do a gap year.
they're organizing a 4 month stay in kenya.. teaching english and stuff..
i'm kinda thinking bout it... but not sure..</p>

I think it's a good idea because you become a much more mature person (in most cases) and learn a lot about yourself and the world.
one of the other good things I can imagine is that then you're 21 in ur senior year of college!</p>

<p>most of my best friends are going to the uk.. so i wanna go visit them. and i wanna be in the same "stage" as them. (cus most of my close friends are def. not going to take a gap year).</p>
<p>and uk unis are only 3 years anyway.. so they're going to be in the "job" world one year ahead of me already lol!!</p>

<p>no I really don't like NYC but that may be because I live right by it. I like going to shop, and see shows and stuff, but I don;t want to go to college their. The only reason why I would is because I have legacy</p>
