Is anyone nervous? I just had a slight mental breakdown lol. Maybe embarrassing to admit, but true nonetheless. How does everyone else feel about leaving home and entering the big scary world??

into the big scary world of cornell, land of grade deflation& cutthroat courses?
oh just a tad.

i’m not so scared about leaving home as i am about the academic rigor.
putting that aside, i’m looking forwards to the change in scenery& meeting new people

Seriously, don’t worry about it. College is so much fun that you’ll start to be more anxious/bummed about leaving school once your here.

The only thing I worried about coming from the desert was the weather; even that isn’t too bad.

Think of it this way though…you got in to this school for a reason. If you are reasonable about managing your time and being responsible while still maintaining a social life, you’ll find that you had nothing to worry about.

It’s really scary… Sorry, I’m just joking. Of course one would feel sad living home for the first time (and not for vacation), but Cornell is a really nice place It’s not all wonderful if you consider the work you’ll get etc., but it’ll somehow become your second home :)

thanks everyone. i guess it’s normal to be nervous. and i’ll be home again in october! it seems like there’s a break every month!!

Nothing to fear except for fear itself

I’m less scared about college and more sad about leaving all my friends behind. Can’t wait to get out of my parents house and do things on my own time for once. With barely a month to go I can almost taste the freedom.
