Nervously awaiting the decision from William and Mary..

I was wondering if any of you could offer some outside insight as to how I'll fair with admission to the College of William and Mary.

I am a senior who will be receiving her letter any day now. I am female and white (yay, their biggest demographic..:(.)

My current schedule:
AP Biology
AP Government and Politics
AP Art History
Dual Enrollment College Composition 1
Dual Enrollment College Composition 2
Chamber Orchestra (I've played the violin since I was nine years old.)

My school is blue ribbon in the arts and our chamber orchestra outperforms everyone in the region. I'm honored to be a part of it.

Other extracurrciculars:
Debate
Spanish club
Academic Challenge team
National Honors Society
Invisible Children club
A lengthy list of charity work

My GPA is 4.3 but will be higher once my full year classes are finished this year. I have a recommendation letter from arguably the most respected teacher at my school. I've earned 5s on every AP test I have taken thus far.

The problem with my application are my standardized testing scores. I cannot bring myself to take them seriously and thus underperformed what many of my teachers assumed I would earn. I refuse to believe that a test or grade grubbers who study for them indicate anything at all. I wouldn't take them if they weren't required. I just barely broke 2000 on my SAT.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Oh, I'm also a first generation college student, if that matters.

You’ll be getting your decision soon. We aren’t going to know this nearly as well as the W&M adcoms will. Just have patience.

There’s no point in chancing you now. They sent out decisions today. Be patient.

You’ll know soon.

You seem like a decent applicant anyway, so it’s really above our heads to whether you’ll be accepted or not. You’re in that range where it’s far too hard to predict.
