NetID problem with activation

<p>Has anyone tried to get their NetID? Do I need to wait until i get my snail mail letter? I took my UIN and the AdmitID but cannot login to the system.</p>

<p>Any thoughts, yes i am aware that i dont have to do this today, but just curious.</p>

<p>I had the same problem! I said I couldn’t “activate at this time”. Glad I am not the only one!</p>

<p>I tried it too and I had the same problem. I guess they didn’t active the NetIDs for the newly admitted students yet?</p>

<p>Guys it takes a few days for the netID System to be loaded with admitted UINs. Try Monday and you should be fine. There’s always a mismatch between Banner through which your admit decision was loaded, and the netID System. The Banner application doesn’t even have netID as an attribute, but many other systems depend on it as your username. Also note that your ‘Enterprise’ password, used for the administrative (Accounts Receivable, Scheduling, Personal data, Degree Audit, Graduation Declaration, can differ from your netID password used for other things like blackboard for course communication from your professor. Keeping your passwords in sync is key to avoiding many issues. Just know you’ve got more than one password, and when changing one, make sure to change the other too.</p>

<p>I was able to set my NetID and Enterprise Id just now. If it wasn’t working for you before it might work now.</p>

I emailed the admissions of UI and they personally replied saying:</p>

<p>Hello,</p>

<p>There is a known issue with NetID claiming currently. We hope to have this issue resolved by mid-week. I suggest attempting to claim your NetID again on tuesday or wednesday.</p>

<p>Please let me know if you have questions.</p>
