I was accepted into NEU early action with a 15k Dean’s Scholarship, and it is my top choice school (my parents wouldn’t let me ED because money will be a big factor), and I’m planning on going for architecture (as I have since I was six years old !). I met and was shown around by the director of the program, and I was impressed with the program, and the opportunities that the big university offered as compared to my other top (#2) choice, which is RISD. I was told by the dean of architecture at RPI to not trust the rankings because they fluctuate so much (architecture is subjective, and it’s what you do with the knowledge), but Northeastern’s program is consistently highly ranked (#12 I believe their website said?) and their Berlin program and the focus on being a conscious global leader swayed me over, since I value that over the fine-arts training that RISD specializes in. Is anyone else planning on entering this program? I’m very excited since my parents agreed that I can commit to NEU (I think they saw the price of RISD and figured this was the lesser of two evils).
