Do u think that environmental engineering is a good way to go to get to neurology? Or do u think it would be better to major in something like biomedical engineering or microbiology? Right now I have a major in environmental engineering and have almost finished my classes and have recently decided that I want to go into neurology.

well, I'm just an HS senior looking into neuroscience. I suppose it could work (ecology should help, with animal behavior/behavioral ecology classes), but why not just do biology or psychology (or even neuroscience if your school has it)?

I'm looking to major in cognitive science or neuroscience if the school has it, if not (or even if it does) I'll do a double major in biology and psychology. But that's just me, (I want to go into research, not medicine though).

Neurologists? hmm maybe...i have a specialty w/ neurologists i have had to brain surgerys and i have a brain surgeon an oncologists and a neurologists..

If you mean neurology as in the specialty in medicine, then any major is fine as long as you take all the premed requirements. If you're interested in neuroscience you could definitely try to fit classes in but it's not a requirement. Med schools probably won't look too closely at desired specialty, since it changes so often even for people already in med school.

Then again, I know nothing, I'm just a hs junior.

Neurology is very difficult. The most arduous study after internal medicine. This is my both my parents' profession and it is not one of the best fields to go into unless you get a private practice going. Nonetheless, a major for med school in neurology should be focused on biology, microbiology, neuroscience, anatomy, or chemistry. These would be most beneficial.
