neuroscience 201

i am going to be a freshman at vandy in the fall. i talked to someone who is a premed junior at vandy about my classes and she recommended i take neuro 201 because it's a great course and the professor is amazing. I checked ratemyprofessors.com and everyone there said the same thing. MY summer academic advisor didnt say anything when i told her i want to take the class. My only concern is that i havent taken psychology at all in high school. im taking gen chem, math 150A, and my freshman year seminar along with neuro, but i havent signed up for the courses online yet. Do you think i should take the neuro or do you think it'll be too difficult without psych or a college science under my belt?

thanks in advance for responses

You made need alittle more time studying. You’ll be fine. Go for it.

i actually called back my summer advisor who then called the neuroscience department. Apparently psych 101 is a pre requisite for neuro

You’ll learn that pre-reqs are just recommendations. If it makes you feel better take Psych 101 in the fall then Neuro 201 in the spring.

My S is taking psych 101 this fall becaue he has always wanted to take a psych class although its not related to his intended major. Does anyone have insight on this class - is it a great class or very difficult/not recommeneded? Thanks
