I have been interested in a neuroscience major for a while now and have been looking at the Claremont schools, particularly CMC and Pomona. Does anyone have any insight into the difference between pursuing neuroscience at CMC or Pomona? What are the requirements? Any suggestions for other schools too are also greatly appreciated!

I don’t have a detailed answer, but I have a general one. As an undergraduate, the strength of one particular department is less important than if you are a graduate student. At the Claremont colleges, it is even less of an issue, because you can take many classes at any of the 5 schools. Since both schools are outstanding, and you are likely applying to graduate school or medical school when you leave (since you can’t go straight into brain surgery with your Bachelor’s Degree), what really is going to matter is which school provides you with the most positive undergraduate experience. Tour both schools, meet the kids at both schools, try to get a feel for the undergraduate experience at both schools.
