Neuroscience major but passionate about music

I would like to be a Neuroscience major (pre-med) but I am also passionate about my Violin. I understand there are double degree programs but I would like to hear from students about the opportunities available for me in the A&S ( not conservatory) to 1) take Violin lessons 2) play in an ensemble. I guess I am asking about a typical day for a non-music pre-med major and the activities on a daily/weekly basis.

Thanks

I believe on the Oberlin website under the We are Oberlin stories, there is one entry by a violinist who was in the college and played in the Oberlin Orchestra. There are several orchestras and other ensembles that are open to students in the college. In addition, students in the college can audition for secondary lessons.

Thank you very much compdad. I found the entry by “Mariko Meyer”. Exactly what I wanted to read.
