What does the neuroscience major at JHU consist of? Would it be a good fit for a Pre-med? Is it hard to get a good gpa do that major compared to just biology or biochemistry? Let me know anything about it like classes make it up, studying time needed, etc

Here is a link to the class requirements for the major. [Major Requirements](http://krieger.jhu.edu/neuroscience/undergraduate/major_req.html). recommend going onto the hopkins forums and asking. there are a couple of neuroscience majors including jhunoah and jhutrisha that can answer specific questions.

Current Neuroscience major here! I am a junior, and absolutely love the major thus far! There is a research component to it that forces students to get out there and be at the forefront of the great research currently going on in this dynamic field. I have loved working with renowned researchers on their projects. The classes are also very stimulating and force a thorough understanding of the material. It is the perfect major for a prospective pre-med (I am a premed). I am currently taking a class called Brain Injury and Recovery of Function- it has been a great way to expose myself to a spectrum of neurological diseases. In addition, I have taken a class called Diseases and Disorders, which had guest lecturers come in to talk about the great work they have been doing in their respective fields of study. In addition, there are specialized classes like Altered States of Consciousness, the Visual System and the Auditory System. There are classes for every interest, and it has been a great experience thus far!
