How good is OSU’s Neuroscience program? Is it rigorous? How does it compare to other colleges?
Hey I’m a high schooler doing pseo and I’m currently in behavioral neuroscience 3313 and cognitive neuroscience 3513. The classes aren’t that hard, especially not as tough as AP bio is supposed to be ( I’m in it rn and it’s pretty easy for me). But I’m pretty sure future classes in the major will be hard cause he ones I’m in rn are required to declare the major.
@Pickle0323 , my son and I just attended one of the neuroscience breakfasts that the dept. held on Saturday. I think there are 1 or 2 more, and if you can get to campus for 1, I highly recommend it. We found the curriculum rigorous and specialized- they currently have 3 areas of specialization, not just cognitive. Look it up online and also dr. Gary wenk who is the director. Another man, dr. Charlie Campbell is the associate director who is very involved with advising and career preparation. We were very impressed! Check it out closer.
