neuroscience

if accepted to the schools below, where would you choose to study neuroscience with an intention of applying to medical school?

Boston University, Columbia College, New York University, or Johns Hopkins?

it would be useful to hear your reasons for picking one of them over the others. thanks!

I’ll be a neurosceince major next year at Boston University. I don’t know much about the other school’s programs.

BU’s neuroscience program is awesome though. I’ve talked to some of the professors, and they all seem decent. There is a ton of research that you can get involved in. BU is a big research institution.

If I were you, I would compare the curriculum of each program, research opportunities at each school, and the diversity of specializations that the courses and research opportunities offer. Bigger schools will probably have more options as far as specialized courses and research opportunities within the neuroscience field (ie. brain plasticity, cortical function, synaptic function, neurophysiology, neuroendocrinology, etc).
