"If a person is not accepted, he is not qualified..."

Did you actually write this, kk19131?

Jian Li earned a 2400 on his SAT and earned several 800s on various SAT IIs. He graduated in the top of his competitive high school. Are you suggesting that because he was not accepted to some Ivy Leagues, he was not qualified to attend there?

There is no doubt that he could handle the work, especially since he is at an Ivy League now.

^ urms are not less qualified. you people can't seem to understand that SAT scores do not indicate qualifaction.

consider this...harvard only excepts white students with very good SAT scores right? (they don't get AA). YET...not all of harvard's white students graduate, why is that?

you already lost... why must you continue?

^ the fact that you posted that shows that you have no other arguments left...thus, you lose. and you didn't answer my question: post 242.

lol are you kidding? whatever...believe what you want

... you'll see, you lost a long time ago.
kk is just trying to stay breathing....although he basically lost too.
i wouldn't even bother responding u again, since u never understand what ppl are saying, i'll give one last try.

by qualifying or not i dont mean sat scores, but grades and ecs and everything.
the truth is, urms are qualified to get in, but so are many other more qualified asians who get rejected.
we say they are qualified, just that other qualified ppl are rejected b/c they are asian.

This is not exactly true. I know of a white development admit from Canada last year that got into Harvard with a 3 on an AP (he only sat for a single AP test), a 1200 SAT composite, and extremely mediocre statistics. He basically had no extracurriculars, but his father donated millions to Harvard.

The problem with college admissions is that it can't accurately assess 100% of the time how a student will perform in college. Some of the most qualified academics in high school may very well crash and burn under the set expectations and different lifestyles that are required from a college student. Let's face it, college isn't like high school at all. In high school, you have a sort of impetus to keep working since after school, you go home. But people LIVE at the Ivy Leagues.

Plus, when everyone around you wants to party, you tend to want to party yourself and not study. I would say that I tend to be one of these students.

Additionally, people drop out for various reasons other than flunking out. Take Bill Gates for example.

^ screwthepc, i shut you down a while ago. also, who are you to judge qualification. you are still trying to argue that SAT scores matter or indicate college readiness, but they don't.

YOU SHUT ME DOWN!!!!?????

WHAT THE HELL?

let's ask ANYONE on this forum.

do u even know any logic and debate?
go look at past threads, you're the one never responding to my points b/c u dont know how to.

I never say sat indicade college readiness, are you blind???
"by qualifying or not i dont mean sat scores, but grades and ecs and everything."

apparently ppl who think all CCers are smart are wrong
there are still some "ignorant, stupid, dumb morons" who call others "ignorant, stupid, dumb, or moron"

oh please you (you'll see) didn't shut anyone down

thanks pkswmr.

if anything, you'llsee, I PWNED you way before page 10.
any witness can prove it lol.
i'm sure even kk will agree I PWNED you.

B B 1984...now your trying to say that NO white students at harvard fail, that they just drop out because they want to...no comment.

see, you're too embarrassed that you dont respond now.
"you are still trying to argue that SAT scores matter or indicate college readiness, but they don't."

""by qualifying or not i dont mean sat scores, but grades and ecs and everything.""

IN YOUR FACE

screthepc...HA. all you did was try to argue using exceptions instead of looking on the larger scale of things. (also, i hope you don't think that getting posters that were on your side of the argument to agree that you 'owned' me is legit. it's inevitable that they will agree with you).

""by qualifying or not i dont mean sat scores, but grades and ecs and everything.""

IN YOUR FACE

all this proves is that you accepted that you lost, and therefore, changed your argument. b/c if i recall, that wasn't what your were saying in the beginning of the thread.

i never said SAT indicate college admissions.

plz find it and use logic to convince ppl.

you keep making stupid things up,

just like your post about
"QUOTE:
they're just much lesss qualified than orms.

you confusing "qualification" with " advantage".

you can't comprehend, your wrong. the correct statement is...

they're just more disadvantaged than orms."

and my respond:
"lol stop twisting my words.

yao ming is taller than steve nash.

you're confusing the word "tall" with "skin color"
you can't comprehend, your wrong. the correct statement is...

Yao Ming is darker than steve nash"

you still haven't responded to that yet.

all you're doing now is making youself look stupid, and then wait for more people to respond and tell you that you're stupid, and ppl who come later dont bother to go to the front and read your thread.

@ you'llsee...are you kidding? you lost. get. over. it.

we proved that you're wrong, stop twisting words

i never said ANYTHNIG about SAT scores being the only indication of admissions. please find that post for me thanks.

you're making stuff up...some other users may have said that, but definitely not me, if you can tell the difference between different usernames...which you obviously can't
