I'm currently a freshman, and I wanted to transfer to another school next fall. However, I am 6 credits shy of the minimum credits needed at the time of application. The school I am attending now is ranked much higher. The school I'm applying to is actually 3rd tier. I was also accepted to my transfer school as a high school senior. Do you think I'd have a chance of transferring sophomore year even though I don't meet the transfer admissions criteria? Any thoughts or helpful hints?

I'd explain the situation to the transfer coun., where theres a will theres a way...

I spoke to someone in admissions on the phone and they seemed to stick pretty close to the rules. I feel like that when I actually turn in the application they might reconsider. I really don't know but I can't stay here another year.

Anyone heard of them bending these kinds of rules for transfers?
