New AP Bio Format

I heard there was a new format this coming year for the AP Bio exam (supposed to be "easier") with 55 MC and 9 FRQ's including some mathy ones. I also heard that we would only be tested on 36 chapters or something. Does anyone know which chapters they are? (By the way, even though not every class uses Campbell, I'm referring to the Campbell textbook with 56 chapters)

I'm sure that information is hard to look for, but if you find anything, please let me know :D

Thanks!

I think they’re taking out plants, and most of the human body systems and stuff like that.

I’ve heard that they’re mostly getting rid of systematics stuff (which kind of makes me sad) and focusing more on “problem solving” which probably means genetics and molebio.

^Yeah, genetics was my least favorite part in Biology…

It’s detailed in this pdf by the CollegeBoard <a href=“Supporting Students from Day One to Exam Day – AP Central | College Board”>Supporting Students from Day One to Exam Day – AP Central | College Board;

AP BIO: 63 Multiple Choice, 6 Grid In , 2 Long FRQs, 6 Small FRQ’s

I believe that it will be less broad and more detailed with the sections

Everyone keeps saying different things about the test… I think:

 1. definitely less plants (botany) and human systems

And thats all I know is definite about the exam! ARGH SO FRUSTRATING TO BE A PART OF THE FIRST PEOPLE TO TAKE THE EXAM!
I clicked on the PDF provided by DaFantom but it is like 193 pages so im not going to even try to read that…

Help?

They’re going to add math too, I freaking hate math.

The exam format and sample questions in that pdf IS all the way at the last 20 or so pages

Whoah. Woops, I didn’t look at this thread for a while. Thanks everybody :D
