New Billboard Advertisement in Chicago

Driving on the Northwest/Jane Adams Tollway near O'Hare Airport last night (on the way to pick DS up from his flight home from Cincinnati after his last exam) we noticed a new billboard advertisement for Miami. It lists Dartmouth, Miami, Princeton and references the USN&WR rankings for undergraduate teaching.

This billboard had to go up in the past week. This is the first time I can recall seeing a billboard for Miami. I have to assume this is part of a coordinated campaign. Has anyone else heard or seen anything? While Miami draws well from Chicago-area schools, especially in the suburbs, its great to see some advertising.

I’ve seen a couple of billboards in Indianapolis, as well. I’m also very happy to see Miami touting the brand. It’s a very special school. I just hope they do not choose to get bigger. A lot of the appeal is the smaller public/largely undergrad make up of the school. Don’t want to see that change!

Miami ranked #2 in UG teaching and has increased ads (at least on a radio) in our city despite being IS and popular already.
We have noticed good % of Chicago kids at Miami. I am not sure why. D. is graduating in May and Miami has been way beyond our excpectations for her UG education. Huge personal growth, academic success and awesome mix of various new experiences. Oppotunities are all there for everybody. I wish though that Miami will NOT grow and become another huge state school. Its size is perfect as it is. It actually has a feel of a smaller private school with very pretty and cozy campus.
