New College. Transfer student? credits?

So I got suspended from a university and I am looking to apply to different colleges (during my suspension and after). I was wondering if I would apply as a transfer student or a first year student. Also, can I transfer my credits during my suspension?

        You might want to be aware of your visa status if you are on a student visa and already chucked out of your university. Have an idea of what needs to be done with that part first.

I am a citizen, I’m not here with a visa…

You must apply as a transfer student and you must include transcripts from all colleges you’ve attended.

@KKmama Thank you!

Whether you apply at a transfer or freshman will depend on the policies of each of the places you apply to. For example, if you did not earn a full year’s worth of credits, some places will consider you a freshman applicant.

Be aware that many colleges and universities will require that your original university verify that you are “in good standing”. This means that your suspension might limit where you can apply. So discuss that with the transfer admissions offices while you are making your target list.
