New here and wondering...

I am currently a junior in high school (public, not prestigious at all lol) and was wondering how my chances are at going to Stanford. I realize that many people here have asked that question, but I am quite dead set on going there and am willing to do whatever it takes to get admitted.
I just received my SAT scores back this morning and got a 1820 (510CR yeah I know terrible, 730M, 580 writing which I know I can improve on) on my first attempt, which I am quite disapointed with...

Hopefully you guys can give me some good feedback and specifically what I can do to raise my critical reading score on my SAT lol

To improve your CR mark, you should look at how you did on each different section of the CR, and each type of question etc.
For a lot of people (myself included) increasing your vocabulary helps A LOT. Try this link:

And if the passage-based reading is what brings your mark down, just keep practicing.
You could also improve your knowledge of literary devices, etc.
Hope that helps!
Good luck!
