I’m glad Mike Richards is out. But why wasn’t he vetted in the first place?

What a mess they made of this

I thought that they had already started filming the new season. It airs in 3 weeks.

Just read Richard’s non -apology:
“it has become clear that moving forward as host would be too much of a distraction for our fans”

Really??? That’s offensive, not distracting.

They did. One day of filming on 8/19. They will now be returning to guest hosts.

Just offer it to Ken Jennings and give him whatever he wants.

Feel like Richards needs to step down as producer also.

They could hire anyone they wanted. They didn’t have to give anyone a test run, didn’t have to have guest hosts, didn’t have to be fair. It’s a job.

I’m hoping for Buzzy. He was my favorite next to Mike.

It seems that Mike Richards was able to do what many in business do … conduct a search that results in the person in charge of the search being selected. I unfortunately saw it several times in one of my jobs, and it never worked out well. I am surprised it was able to happen in this particular case, but not shocked.

If you watch old game show reruns, you’ll see incredibly inappropriate behavior. Gene Rayburn was beyond creepy, but even Alex Trebek was inappropriate on Concentration. But what we for some reason put up with years ago is no longer okay, and has not been for long enough that Mike Richards has no excuse for saying the things he said. It shows an appalling lack of judgment, at the very least.

I listened to the SI Sports Media Podcast and Joe Buck was the guests. He talked about his jeopardy experience. Not that exciting except (Talked more about the process) that he said that it was very clear that Mike Richards was very interested in the hosting job. Said it a couple of times as I remember.

I think that his non apology might come back to hurt him in the future. Apology/non apologies do not come across very well these days.

I liked Joe Buck. I would not want to watch LeVar, Dr. Oz, Katie Couric, or Bill Whitaker ever again. Those are my bottom 4.

Add Mayim to that list and you have my bottom 5.

agree with all sevmom. I thought Joe Buck was surprisingly good, but highly doubt he’d ever consider leaving his ‘day job’.

Well, this is turning out to be a real mess.

It really is too bad this has turned out this way. I loved Mayim on Big Bang Theory but she was not one of my favorites to take over.

Mayim was one of my favorite guest hosts, I wasn’t aware of her anti vaccine views.

I liked Mayim, but I wouldn’t want her ads to appear as commercials. There were a few others I liked as well. As much as I like levar button on tv, he is definitely Italy not jeopardy material. I want to feel that the host has some knowledge of what the answers are
