New Jersey Science League

does anyone know where you could get the past science league tests?
our school only gives out the test from a previous year (so the 2004 tests) and i think i'd be better off with more practice tests...
i tried to look online but it isn't that easy. and the next contest is in 6 days!!
...anybody?

By any chance, do you have the answers for the 2004 feb bio test? Ugh... I need them to study since I lost them.

Unfortunately there is no way to get tests that I know of. Maybe call up the head of the NJ Sci. League (Bill Spears - search NJ Science League on Google and its the first site that comes up) and ask him if he can send you old tests. Our school took copies of every test that we could possibly have a team for so we have the previous 7 year's worth of tests and it definitely does help with practice. I don't know what to do otherwise.

NeutronFlare47, sorry i only have the physics test since i'm in the physics team..
and crypto86, you guys are so LUCKY...our school sux. but thanx anyway...at least i found out that there's no use surfing the net for eighteen hours lol

cram - what test subject are you looking for?

i'm looking for physics I

i really really really need them for more practice...
i don't understand why on earth my physics teacher wouldn't provide us with more tests!! :(

I get a lot of past years tests from here: http://www.frhsd.com/MANALAPAN_HS/StudentActivities/ScienceLeague/Physics1Tests/ScienceLeagueTestIndex.htm
They don't have them all, but it's better then nothing.

that's a great website, spyder, but unfortunately for me, there's no bio. :(

oh yeah didn't realize that...I've only used it for physics and a little chem..

hey spyder 2287 i LOVE YOU....that site is awesome they have everything!!!!
lol i'm so happy you don't understand...thank you sooooooo much spyder~
ahhh today's a happy day for me lol

Hey guys - NJ Sci League today! Our team won Chem II in Division 3 by NINE questions!! And we didn't even do that well - my friend had a 76 and I had a 52; just that the second best team had 52 and 40 - lol.

For those of you who took Chem II, if you still have your test (or even not) and you can see/remember the question with the phase diagram similar to water (question 14 I think). A correct answer for that was that the solid was less dense than the liquid ( i shoulda put that being the most obvious answer), however, the graph clearly depicts that the critical point is at 120 degrees - so I think both answers should be right.

The only thing I can think of is that since the critical point answer only talked about temp and not pressure that it's a conflict of semantics - then that's mega bs.

How'd you gays and gals do??

Bio I for me. Our school got 2nd out of the 7 shchools there for Bio I. 53/80. Not my best work, but there's always next month. Our Chem I and Chem II did really well though.

our school got 2 out of 6 or 7 schools.... got 64/80 in bio I.... highest score on my team.

I go to Manalapan HS, and the webmaster of that site is my physics teacher. I'll pass along the compliments to him.

Our team got completely violated in the Physics C test. It was the first year they had given this test, and nobody expected something of this magnitude of suckyness.

haha, heyyy that's my physics teacher's website :)

Dude! Akash! Stop stalking me! ;)

dude i totally posted that RIGHT AS YOU did

hmm my school came in 2nd for Physics 2 B in my division, I had a 60 =/

It's crazy though. Some kid from Jonathan Dayton HS got a 96 and the 2nd best from Dayton had a 36. Either a) that kid is a freak of nature or b) they couldn't accept the fact that a crappy "urban" high school almost beat them.

Dayton: 96 & 36 = 132
EHS: 64 + 60 = 124

96 and 36 is a huge diff though, they had a 4 person team too...

w/e. If possible can someone put any test from 2001-2004 for Physics 2 online? greatly appreciated!

bump... can anyone put any test from 2001-2004 for the march bio I league test? thx

Hey, its the Sci League thread revived!! The March bio test is going to be hard. Ahh... so much material, but I don't expect to do that well. So... what are your temp. individual rank for your subject? Mine is 85th I think.
