I have transferred to SUNY New Paltz from NYIT and my transfer credit evaluation has recently been posted. I’m losing faith in actually transferring all of my NYIT course credits over even though I haven’t met with the school about it yet. Has anyone been successful in doing so?
I used New Paltz’s College Course Equivalencies tool and checked how my courses would transfer if I went to another private school. Most courses transfer over to a “000” level course at New Paltz according to the tool, which means that the transferred course/credit must be evaluated first before an equivalency can be given. So far, only 6 of my 30 transferred credits apply to a course at New Paltz. Is it tough to have credits transfer over from a private school? If so, thats saddening.
