This is good news for UMW.

I wish UMW luck on this new guy…

Hooray!!! Best news I’ve heard out of UMW in a long time.

Housing selection was supposed to end on Thursday afternoon. As of Tuesday at 5:00 p.m., there was room in the upperclass dorms for 18 more people. According to Residence Life,

I don’t know how many students were left high and dry.

I don’t understand how they can do this. They must know from issuing lottery numbers how many students they need to house and the also know how many slots they have. They should have a rough guess of the numbers of kids returning. So why do they refuse to let students out of the contract if they cannot provide housing? Does this mean busing from the local motel again? I would assume so unless renovating some of the older dorms is delayed.

Yazdi resigned, which is more good news. Let’s hope the clean up and healing has begun. And let’s hope it overflows into the housing office and they can get their act together soon.
