New prospective student

Recently I've started looking at OOS private schools with all of the budget cuts to Florida public schools. My mom has been pushing me to do this as well since she really does not want me to go to an in-state public university. I've looked at OOS public schools (like Purdue) that offer my major, but I wouldn't receive enough money to attend. I plan on majoring in Medical Laboratory Science, with is offered under The School of Public Health and Health Sciences. From researching the school online, George Washington seems like a place I would be interested in attending.

I don't know much about the school, which is why I created this thread. I was wondering if you guys could give me some more insight. Is the tuition worth it? How is financial aid? (The FAFSA 4Caster said my EFC was around $7,000.. which is higher than I thought it would be.) I don't think I'd get very much merit aid with around 3.85 UW/4.25W and 27 ACT (still waiting for June scores though). I'm also just worried about getting into the school. :(

What are the differences between the two campuses, obviously besides the location? Are only certain majors offered at the Mount Vernon campus etc? How is housing?

Also, when should I apply based on my lower "stats" and need for a lot of financial aid? Early action? When I apply, am I applying into the college that my major is under? Or is that a separate application at a another time?

And just tell me what you love or hate about GWU. Post some pictures of the campus.... I'm really interested in hearing your responses!

Sorry for all of the questions, I probably sound really stupid right now.
Thank you guys in advance,
Felicia
