I thought about it and superscoring the new SAT is worse compared to the old SAT:
Here’s why.
Say you took the old SAT(2400-scale)
and got 800M 800CR but somehow screwed up on 650W = 2250
So you retook and got 800M 800W and somehow screwed up on 650CR = 2250
Superscored = 2400
On the New SAT(1600-scale)
1st take: 800M 700W+R(40R+30W) = 1500
2nd take: 800M 700W+R(30R+40W) = 1500
Super scored = 1500
Since writing and reading are smooshed together, even though you’ve gotten perfect 40 R and 40W on two tests your superscored score is still 1500
yeah…
Obviously I made the example extreme to make my point clear, but it definitely looks like superscoring the new sat isnt gonna be as good as the old sat so my question is:"
Will colleges super score the reading and writing section separately?
