new student at Community College

if a course is not transferable, would it still count toward your GPA? Like trig, does it mean i wouldn't have to work too hard for the class?

If a course is not transferable then it won't count towards your transfer gpa. However, adcoms will still be able to see the grades of those classes on your transcript. Aim for As and be the best you can be no matter what class you are in. Besides, trig will help you in calculus.

ic, thanks.

I'm transferring to Berkeley this fall from a cc. I just knocked out all of my IGETC classes right away, and I finished with a 3.8. Meet with counselors every semester to make sure your on track. Also, try to get straight A's. You'll be fine.
