New student, how do I access my Buckeye mail?

I was just admitted today and I know my e-mail is lastname.#@buckeyemail.osu.edu and you do it through the Windows Live link, however, whenever I attempt to log in with that username and my password from the Buckeye link, it comes with an error saying that my “Windows Live username name does not exist.” Could it be that it’s a bit early for me to access my mail? Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Nevermind…I just figured it out -___-
Anyone know how I can delete the thread?

I’ve been having the same problem… What did you have to do to be able to access your email account?

Anyone know how this is done, I’m having the same problem this person originally had. Im putting in “lastname.#@buckeyemail.osu.edu” (with my name obviously) along with the password i used to check my admission status. Is that the right one or is their another, Or, am i just doing the whole thing wrong.

How did you figure it out? I’m having the same problems…thanks!

sorry to bump up this old thread but this question still has not been answered and I am experiencing the same problem.

Go to my.osu.edu, sign in, click on change email delivery, and there should be instructions on how to set up your email account.

You go to myosu.edu where your student identity is store for campus and directory. From there you go to ur left tool bar and it says to access your buckeyemail. Then it give you the option to enable it or disable. Once you enable it, it becomes active.

Yes then when you go to OSU.edu and on the top right corner it give it links to go to you buckeye link, find people, and webmail. You click webmail and from there it should give you instruction to log on.

Hate to “grave-dig”, but the solution posted in this thread does not work for me. Anyone else know how to fix the problem?

@sinjbad it took me a long time to figure it out too but I finally did. This site gives clear step by step instructions on how to do it. https://osuitsm.service-now.com/kb_view.do?sysparm_article=KB03235
