Im a ASU student...transfered from a community college last spring as sophomore, and truth was it was very hard to make friends...even worst had no roommates. I went into depression mood where I felt really lonely
So for my junior year I intend to join a fraternity this fall and be more involved. Is it ok to pledge even as a junior? Are the benefits worth joining for making friends? I heard their expensive. I still would like to partake in the "college experience". What are your guys experience? Did it you guys benefit from it ? Is it a big commitment?

I wasn’t involved in greek life in college, but I do know people who rushed as sophomores or juniors. It’s less common, but not unheard of.

I think you can definitely have the “college experience” without joining a fraternity, but involved in greek life seemed to enjoy it, from what I could tell. It may be good as a transfer student to help you get involved in the school and get a good group of friends, but it can be really expensive. In addition to paying dues, my friends in sororities and fraternities also had to get a lot of gifts for their bigs and littles so it can add up.
