ok, so i applied to lehigh, villanova AND drexel 7 year progs.
3 choices... assuming i get accepted at all 3

For those of you who have applied to 2 or more programs affiliated with drexel med, which one would you choose if u had ur choice?

right now, i can't decide between lehigh and drexel.

drexel -
pros: in the city... [very impt to me cuz i luvvv city life]
cons: quarter system [i hate that.. wish they had semesters]
also, becuz of co-op, so many kids rn't there for semesters at a time... so campus becomes dead.

lehigh
pros: has a reputation for being an awesome party campus... which is good cuz i plan on having a good bit of fun as an undergrad be4 i have to kill myself in med skool
cons: on the side of a d*mn hill... nd not in the city

some ppl will choose lehigh becuz of its undergrad "reputation"... but thats not impt to me... because residency directors dont even look at where you got ur undergrad degree from... so it makes no difference to me.

anyways ... please post thoughts [cuz i think i got into all 3 progs [hopefully]... nd its gonna be tough choosing]...

What about Villanova?

i am not a fan of villanova

q: why are you applying to villanova if you don't like it?
advice: wait and see where you get in before worrying about this.

i applied to villanova initially because I wanted to increase my chances of getting in... i figured the more places i applied, the more of a chance i would have of getting in somewhere

i applied to villanova, but i dont like the campus (i already had my drexel med interview. the freshmen dorms are across a busy street, and it takes on average like 10 minutes to get to your class from those dorms, which would even suck more if it was snowing. oh and the tuition is insane there, but whatever, i got into siena/amc which is a better program (no mcats!) so i dont care bout drexel anymore...

i agree... i had my interview today at AMC [i applied to union nd rpi]... AMC is wayy better than the drexel programs because they r specialized ..plus ... u r not required to take tha mcat's... i went to NYLF [a summer medical program] on Villanova's campus about 2 years ago... U R COMPLETELY RIGHT PALMTREE4... it was such a b*tch walking from the freshman dorms to class... nd that was only for 10 days!!... the campus was sooo dissapointing... my negativity towards villanova stems primarily from this NYLF experience...

im having my amc interview with rpi and union on march 14th. how was your interview? did they ask u specific questions (i.e. for union about business, rpi about research)? or was it really casual?

casual? --- no, not at all
was it tuff? --- tuffest interview i have had so far

... BUT... its not impossible

i think on a scale of 1-10... i did like 5ish...
basically, i wouldnt be surprised if i got rejected... nd i wouldnt be surprised if i got accepted... it could easily go eitherway

they told us that they r mailing out acceptances/rejections next thursday/friday... so i will soon find out if i have been accepted or not... alot of decisions r gonna be mailed out be4 u even interview palmtree4

holy cowwwww that sux!! so am i like an alternate? so weirdd. grr i only care about rpi at the moment cuz its 7 yrs rather than the 8yr siena/amc program...why was it so tough?
