That question has been asked a bajillion number of times. Some people who had the request got accepted on the third wave of acceptances (last week), and some have yet to be accepted, so as far as we can tell it means nothing in terms of your chance of admission.

My opinion is that requests for mid-year grades have nothing to do with one being an borderline applicant.

In my case, not too bloat, but for the purposes of this discussion..I've had all straight A's in every year for all of my classes..but I was asked to submit my midyear grades..I don't think me getting 4 more A's during my first semester of senior year was the tipping factor. They probably just wanted to make sure I hadn't substantially dropped in my grades for whatever reason.

That makes sense.

so if a new wave was postmarked the 12th, what day would it arrive in texas? today or tomorrow? does anyone whose gotten their letter that isnt from cali remember how many days it took?

and also, where are you guys from who got an e-mail first telling it was coming? is everyone getting those, or just out-of-staters or what?

Mine was written on March 5th and I got it on March 10th.

Again, nothing from USC. This is becoming very tiresome now.

why is it that some people get emails from usc that say "information" is coming in the mail? is this only for international students?

Nothing here in Orange County, CA today. I don't think the next wave comes until the 19th.

nothing in cali

yep nothing. i hope you're right jouraynalism

Last year's started on the 20th.

Yep I think international applicants get their packages by mail...at least I have sth coming by dhl.

Did anyone that was accepted NOT enter your mid-year grades online? I applied electronically, but I didn't enter my mid-year grades electronically because my school sent an updated transcript. Am I screwed?

A package is coming over DHL and I didn't send my academic history in until last week =P I'm assuming they're not sending me a really biggg package rejecting me...

Overstressed: You are over-stressed, not doing it electronically will make absolutely no difference.

Do you think that's why I may not have heard yet and some of my friends have????

im so dam tired of waiting! :(

I called USC the other day...

"Your file is complete. A decision has been made... it may be mailed out anytime between now and april 1st"

I think she's hinting rejection... :-\ she could have said "you will RECEIVE it anytime between now and april 1st"

^^^ i think you're reading too much into it. until we are actually holding the letters in our hands, there's really no way to predict whether or not we were admitted.

^^ I wonder if there's another way I can fish it out of her...

these people are humans too. they must subliminally drop hints, one way or another.
