new wave due?

psychology....did you go to one??

hahaha cc411....you should have seen the looks I got when I wore my NorCal hoodie

Tight, cool, dank, chill, sweet...

we say "random" a lot.
basically anything slightly out of the ordinary is "random" haha
lately i've noticed people saying "i'm not gonna lie..." a lot which is a lot more annoying

i went to something similar at the cinematic arts school, was yours a class with a grade? or just like a seminar/study thing? mine was more of a class

fighton4sc:i went to something similar at the cinematic arts school, was yours a class with a grade? or just like a seminar/study thing? mine was more of a class

yeah we say "random" a lot too

Actually come to think of it I use the phrase "that's hella random" all the time lol... such an extensive vocabulary I have for a comp lit major :)

I hate "hella." It's so annoying :/
I haven't heard anything like "random."

I find myself saying "down", "chill", "cool", "awesome". Nothing out of the ordinary.

anyutachka -- I don't know about the phone call for the interview. I got one today; is it from an alumni association? If so, I don't think it means you got an acceptance. The guy I was talking to had to ask if I got accepted yet.

USC is so random...
my d was contacted about Alumni Scholarship (Town and Gown). She has an interview in late March. There is a form she is supposed to bring with her that asks if you have been accepted...
so guess it doesn't mean you are accepted

I hella wanna get into USC

haha I have a shirt that says "I hella <3 norcal"

i say freakin' random.

Chappa; you could always call them or send an email. Although by the time they answer your mail you've probably already gotten the letter, if they infact sent/will send them out this week

Thanks guys I guess it was just wishful thinking on my part :)

scarlet: yeah I got a grade..you went during July right??

ya july-august. got an A. did they tell you that those seminars don't really help you in admissions? they basically told us that "it doesn't give you an advantage"
but i mean honestly, it has to help somehow... it definetely shows we're interested, i mean those classes aren't cheap, and if we did well it shows we can handle their courses

I had a friend who transfered from another college as a sophmore but first did a summer session at USC and was able to transfer right into critical studies so I think it does help.

yeah I got an A too....they have to have some sort of effect..even if its small...don't you feel like USC is your home since that seminar....I sure do...I miss it like crazy

my mom called yesterday trying to help me figure out all the financial aid and the guy who she was talking to pulled up my file. They were on the phone for about a half hour and then at the end he said "you might find out sooner than you expect." so i hope this is means that they are sending out letters in the beginning of march

Hopefully, someone on CC who lives in SoCal will receive a letter tomorrow. I wish I lived in SoCal, it's so annoying having to wait the rest of the weekend to find out on Monday when you find out on here that people got them on a Saturday.

Waiting anxiously for that first person to post... I’m IN, the letters are in the mail
