New York Area Schools Visit Advice Needed

My son (a HS junior/prospective acting major) and I are heading out for our first college visits next week. On the schedule are the following schools: Adelphi, Hofstra and LIU/C.W. Post. Can anyone comment on the Theater programs at these schools? Also, another one of interest is CUNY/Brooklyn College. Any insight would be greatly appreciated (including ways to maximize the value of our visits). Thanks.

Hi Dad, we're in NYC for our son's first looks at area schools, too. Different schools, though, so I haven't any words of wisdom except that if your tour is scheduled for a holiday make sure they're actually going to have it (Tisch called and rescheduled us because some genius there didn't know Monday was president's day and the entire staff will be off). This has thrown us off completely and we're taking a different flight home Tuesday night.

Have a list of questions ready to ask if the group isn't too big. Don't expect a lot from an info session where there are no reservations necessary. Our group at Columbia (10 am on Saturday) had hundreds of students and parents. It was hard to hear and nothing was said by the student who led the session that isn't readily available on the website.... a big underwhelming snooze.
