New York State MAcc Programs

I'm currently a Senior in Syracuse University, Whitman School of
Management majoring in Accounting (CPA track). I'm graduating soon and
in the process of applying to grad schools for the upcoming fall semester
(prospective graduation date of grad program in May 2012). Do any of
you happen to have any advice/suggestions for which accounting
programs to look into? (Preferably in the Northeast region). My hometown
is in New York City, I hold a GPA of 3.7, and got a score of 530 on my
GMAT.

I have a few options so far:
1. Syracuse University - since I'm already an undergrad student here, why
not? lol. However, tuition here is expensive and I'd very much rather get
into a more affordable accounting program.

Zicklin School of Business @ Baruch College - my answer to affordable
accounting program, but I'm worried that I wouldn't get in because of my
GMAT score. Therefore, I need some backup schools and need some help
from people who were in the same situation in the past (that's why I came
here :) ).

Other NYS schools - Binghamton University, University at Albany

Any help would be greatly, greatly, GREATLY appreciated! Thanks all.

Sounds like you have the affordable options in NYS covered with Baruch, Albany and Bing and I would suggest you start your apps ASAP as I believe it is late in the game for fall 11 entry. My son had similar GMAT score also and got into UT Austin, Texas A&M and Notre Dame but he did have a 4.0 GPA and finishing his BS in acct in 3 yrs. Check the SUNY programs app deadlines online.
