Is it school specific or sport specific? In other words, do you have to find out the particular sport you are interested is in which division, or if the school is Division I then all sports under its name will be Div I?

Thanks!

Most often all of a school’s teams are in the same division, but some schools do mix their affiliations. For example, Hopkins has a D-III affiliation for all sports other than lacrosse, which is D-I. You should search primarily by your sport, then by school because sometimes it is a mix.

The split at Hopkins (Lacrosse is D1, everything else is D3) is more the exception than the rule. Go to the NCAA website and you can get the list of all schools in each division. Then check each school to make sure they have your sport. Not every school has every sport, and that’s due to a variety of reasons (funding, field space, etc).

Got it. Thank you all.
