Next wave....

seriously. Do you think that this helps at all i got a letter of rec from someone who donates money and he has a family history of donating money do you think that helps at all?

I don't see how it would hurt you. I think it would help if they do make donations to the school. :D

What are your stats?

oh they arent too good but not bad there like average hahah. what are yours

Oh I see. Well I got a 1950 on the SAT which is in the middle 50% of matriculants for 2008 so I hope it's a good indicator of if I get in or not... :/

What'd you get?

i got like a 24 on the act and around a 1650 on sat not too good

Hmm. Well how's your GPA? Did you take a lot of AP's and Honors?

my gpa is okay i took someee but hopefully it looks good because my school has high stuff or whatever

This entire college admissions process has been an emotional and physical drain. One of my teachers pulled me outta class today and said my behavior/mood/attitude has taken a serious downturn and she is dissapointed. She "knows somethings wrong". I explained to her how I dont even know where Im going to college and how im depressed and **** and my parents suck at helping out and wont pay for college. She made me cry for the third time in this crazy roller coaster ride (i cried twice in 2 weeks a couple weeks ago concerning finances lol...w/e call me gay but this prcoess SUCKS). Ummm so the teacher was like well i knew something was up and she was like its a tough process stick with it. Anyway the point is this ****ing process is affecting my social life and attitude and nearing March the paranoia is just going to continue especially for USC. I just wanna have a plan! Anyway don';t have anywhere else to vent so i figured us CCers could band together love u all!

i know how you feel it is so draining the other night i went all weird. my parents say they wont pay. im right there with you

All my admissions status says is "Thank you for submitting your online Part II application. We recommend you check here occasionally for an update on the status of your application."

does this mean they haven't recieved my complete application (grades, etc)? Has this happened to anyone else? I didn't submit my application until January 10.

college: they shouldve sent you a notification letter saying that theyve received your grades, and if not, you should call the admissions office! They will tell you everything you need to know :)

for everyone else...i hate waiting toooooooo and i hope my package is good enough to get in :)

I am hoping the next wave is coming soon!

Yessssss. I hope the next wave is the first week of March. I'm getting sooooooo anxious!

yeah me too im scared im not going to be in it

Ok, so, I don't want to get everybody into a frenzy, but according to last year's threads, the first wave of acceptances came out on January 26 and the next wave began coming out on March 1. That's five weeks later. This year, the first wave came out on January 24. This Saturday makes it five weeks from that date! I don't know if that means anything, but that sounds pretty cool.

OMFG. It does! I'm so excited! I just checked, last year, March 1st was a Saturday. The 26th of January, 2008 was also a Saturday. So you are probably right when you say that this Saturday marks the beginning of the next wave! I'm so excited, yet frightened!

good call! I think you are right. Oy. I so hope i am in this next wave I will probably go crazy if i have to wait another 3 weeks.

haha i know!!!!! does anyone know how long the waves usually lasts?

I think they are about a week long? Or maybe two? I'm not too sure. But it can't be longer than two weeks... I think.

i think the waves last around two weeks, mainly just because thats how long it takes the letters to get some places... like to wisconsin... where i am sigh :)
