Hello to all!

Quick question: Is USC still using the "waves of acceptance" method? I already know the first "wave" has gone out (mostly big scholarship acceptances), but I was curious about the other 85% of acceptances?

Thanks and GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!!!

yea i am curious too…does any one knows when will the second wave be? Will it be close to the end of march?

In past years, the “waves” after the late January bunch picked up again in late February. We have several applicants posting this year that at USC-information sessions the admission representatives have said the “waves” will not occur this year - instead there may be one big batch of acceptances in late March around the 20th.

Time will tell!

Good luck to all :)

^Thanks Alamemom. That’s good to know. Reading about those waves of acceptances last year really freaked me out. Hopefully, USC realized the undo stress it puts upon the poor applicants who read CC constantly and see others who’ve been accepted while wondering where their packet is and getting more and more depressed each day.

noooo i would rather they send it in waves…at least there’s a chance i can hear early…the wait is killing moi

Ah phew!! Well, I guess I will be getting all my college acceptances in March/April!

Until then I am working on NOT obsessing over what i can’t control anymore. (I think these universities have ulterior motives…jeez teaching me life lessons about patience and I am not even paying tuition yet.) haha

Thank you for your input though, I have been secretly scanning this board often and it is nice to have someone post who not only knows the facts but also is not emotionally “compromised”.

Good luck to everyone!

You would not BELIEVE how emotionally compromised I get about all you kids each year! As April begins it is best not to listen to me at all - I will be coming up with all kinds of theories that would mean those who haven’t heard yet have been accepted (and I will be wrong ).

But I know what you mean . I am not looking for “signs,” so I can generally look objectively at the info.

Until April 1st, that is…

ha!

Well even if I have yet to see the “emotionally compromised” side of alamemom, I will admit the objective advice is helpful none-the-less.

:)
