Have you or do you know anyone who has heard the results of the visual art contest? Finalist win a trip to Miami for a week!

real fruit on that thing is the only way to become president scholar of art.
funny it never really mentioned here. maybe no one ever won it.
It is kinda expensive to enter, wonder if more of moneymaking scheme than, like, scholastic.
I saw this kid in SMFA catalogue supposed won the presidents but one of those weird video installation thing, I dont know what to think.
Good luck! It is hard most high stake contests are concentrated on senior fall when they are the busiest and most stressed out.

Oh my gosh, you had me all flustered. I did NFAA for photography this year and my heart stopped because I thought that this was going to be a post with all the winners' names. Phew. Haha.

All adjudications were supposed to be finished by November 22, 2008.

This may not be exactly the same for Visual Arts but for Jazz the adjudications were finished on November 22, 2008 and the lucky ones to be invited to Miami were phoned on November 24th & 25th. So those in Jazz who haven't gotten a phone call know that they are not invited to Miami.

The letters for all others with their scores should be arriving within the next week. My DS was not invited to Miami and is awaiting his letter to see his Jazz score.

That makes sense now - One of the Texas school posted the performing arts winner already.

this guy in my class is a finalist. ( my teacher announced it two weeks ago or son?)
he submit a portfolio of sculpture and painting combined

Did he also receive a phone call?

hm i don't know. i think it was a priority mail envelop
