NHS Officer or Class Officer?

So I’ve held a class officer for both freshmen and sophomore year. Re-elections are coming up and I was planning on running for my position again, but then we were told that if you’re a class officer, you can’t be a NHS officer. I hold the secretary position for my sophomore class and I was planning on going for Vice President for NHS. What do colleges look more greatly at? I don’t know what to do and it’s a tough situation. Do colleges like class officers better or NHS officers? Any advice is greatly appreciated!!

They don’t make a hierarchy. Anyone who says so is ignorant. Do what you want to do here. Both are worthy

6 of one, half dozen of the other. I might say that being in the same officer position three years running is marginally better. Shows that people think you do a good job in that position.

On the one hand, both are a check in the leadership box.

Which one do you think you could get more done? More results?

It really doesn’t matter. If you feel you an accomplish more/make more of a difference in one role than the other I’d for that one.

Unless your school’s NHS is especially active, being VP of NHS is inconsequential. I’m not an adcom, but I’d rather see consistency as a class officer. That being said, neither is going to make or break your application.

We’ll definitely be doing more in NHS. Class officers is more about prom planning and fund raising for senior events
