NIAHD Pre-College Summer Program in Early American History at William and Mary

Has anyone done this program, what would be your assessment of it?

Hi! I got back from this Program just about a week ago - And it was incredible! The instruction is incredible, the trips are incredible, and the overall experience is wonderful. There would be a field trip in the morning and a Seminar class in the afternoon - Seminars were also the group that you traveled with. Instructors were all Doctoral graduates or Candidates in History, and classes were about 8-10 people. Feild trips included places like The American Revolution Museum at Yorktown, active archeological digs at Jamestown and Fairfield, the Frontier Culture Museum, Monticello, and many other awesome places. Dorms were nice and Food was decent. The workload is demanding, with about 800 pages of reading throughout the 3 weeks of the course, and weekly essays. Overall, this course was super, super fun, and I would definitely recommend it, especially if you want to attend William and Mary.
